10 is the next
generation mobile operating system developed by BlackBerry Limited.Blackberry 10 was officially launched
at an event in New York City
along with the official debut of the mobile operating system, the company
behind it also made some huge prediction. It is based on QNX which was published by
BlackBerry in April 2010.
BlackBerry 10
platform was originally called BBX but this was changed when
BlackBerry was blocked from treating the BBX trademark who already utilises it
for their software BlackBerry CEO, Thorsten Heins, has said that the company is
regarding licensing BB 10 to other OEMs. Two BlackBerry 10 smartphones are tasked
to be released in Q1 of 2013. On November 12, 2012, Heins published a January
30, 2013 launch of the BB10 operating system.
At the duration of release, BlackBerry 10 operating system
had 70,000 applications. Pre-launch held by Blackberry have set up to 15,000
applications provided per weekend.
